This year, <strong>distillery FX de Beukelaer<\/strong> was awarded a prize for <strong>Elixir d&#8217;Anvers Extra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For more than a century and a half, the Belgian distillery FX de Beukelaer has been distilling the authentic Elixir d&#8217;Anvers on the basis of dozens of plants and herbs from all over the world. This artisanal liqueur is <strong>still prepared according to Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier de Beukelaer\u2019s original recipe<\/strong> from 1863.<\/p>\n<p>Only a <strong>limited<\/strong> amount of Elixir d&#8217;Anvers undergoes an <strong>\u2018extra\u2019 long maturation in oak barrels<\/strong>, which adds an extra smooth and deep character and a refined touch of wood to the subtle aromas of dozens of plants, herbs and barks.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>International Wine &amp; Spirit Competition 2022 (IWSC)<\/strong> in London is considered the world\u2019s most prestigious wine and spirits competition. The prizes won at the IWSC are considered the <strong>greatest recognition in the industry<\/strong>.
